This print was an hommage to the architect Louis Sullivan, done after a trip to Chicago. With the same elaborate fantasy garden scenery, this image features an elaborate semi-circular arch so common to Louis Sullivan's architecture. The image is also includes one of Houtin's "cabane" or gardeners huts.

Bordering at times on the surreal, baroque in their richness and extravagance of conception, French artist Francois Houtin's gardens are hybrid creations in terms of both their botany and architecture, which wittily plunder a wide spectrum of conventions.
